Episode 28 continues with the new format (ie episodes about just one game subject: AOS, WH40K, Underworlds) and has lots of hobby and gaming talk about Underworlds.

 Episodes 25, 26, and 27

The chaos of our current existence has left me remiss in highlighting one of my favorite podcasts about all things Games Workshop.  Battle Mallet has produced a few great episodes in the last couple of months if you need something to listen to while painting your way through the mounds of grey plastic.

Episode 25 was my favorite of the latest batch of episodes and what I've been waiting for since I started listening to this podcast - two hours of talk about nothing but WH40K!  The guys had a long, interesting, and entertaining discussion about all their thoughts on 9th edition.

Episode 26 discusses the sad cancellation of Nova 2020, and also has lots more talk about the Indomitus box set.

Episode 27 unveils a new format and gets back to the main love of the podcast, Underworlds.  The boys talk about all things Shadespire with a special guest.

We Are Not Surrounded! We're In A Target Rich Environment! Part II

Those big swords can stab quite a few followers of the ruinous powers in one turn...

Featuring a picture this week from my first ever 40K game at Nova Open 2019.  However the models in question that are surrounded technically belong to Jerod of the Battle Mallet Podcast and most of my Heretic Astartes doing the surrounding have just been mercilessly slaughtered by the Dreadknights.  But lets not quibble over an extended metaphor that I’m already beating like a dead horse.  You can still see the fantastic Demon Prince conversion that led my battle brother’s Deathguard army in our 40K doubles game.  The remnants of my cultist unit and the sadly only battle ready Tyrant of Badab are closing in on the Dreadknights from far in the background.  This game was played on a beautiful Ork village board straight out of a 1993 issue of White Dwarf that was named "Morkadishu".  It was also my first encounter with Tres and Jerod from the Battle Mallet Podcast.  The game was a fun and competitive romp with two entertaining opponents and a great introduction to the amazing gaming experience that is the Nova Open.  I'm very excited for this year's con, I'm always better at things the second time I do them.

Episode 19 is out and the whole crew is back in the virtual studio with a great installment summing up hobby hits and misses from the previous year.  There's also some interesting chat about the state of various GW systems and what we have to look forward to in the new year.  It's all makes for fun listening material for the commute or while you're "waging the battle against the grey".
