Twelve Days of Deathwing - Part Three

 Sometimes There's A Reason Things Are Priced To Move...

Oddly enough I think the two yellow Terminators came from different sources before the reseller threw them together in the bargain bag I picked up.

Nothing too exciting to say about the miniatures above, They will fill out the rank and file slots in the second 5 man squad with Storm Bolters and Power Fists.  Their presence in the days of Deathwing postings is mostly to note how much work can sometimes be involved in secondary market pick ups.  That marine on the left has been soaking in my preferred stripping solution for a year and I still cant get some of that yellow he was originally basecoated in to come off.  Since there's not much commentary to be had from these run of the mill Terminators, I'll use the spare space to document how I see the army list for the Deathwing playing out so far:

• Terminator Captain  - most likely using a spare Cataphractii Terminator Captain from Betrayal At Calth.
• Terminator Chaplain - the old school version of the model which I have conveniently already painted.
• Terminator Librarian with Force Axe - picked up on Ebay over the summer.
• Deathwing Ancient - Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield 
• Deathwing Apothecary - Storm Bolter and Narthecium
• Deathwing Champion - Halberd of Caliban 
• Deathwing Knights - one Master and eight Knights armed with Power Mace and Storm Shield 
• Terminator Squad - 5 man squad with Storm Bolters and Power Fists, one marine with Assault Cannon - These will be the Deathwing Terminators from the Dark Vengeance Box Set.
• Terminator Squad - 5 man squad with Storm Bolters and Power Fists, one marine with magnetized Assault Cannon/Heavy Plasma Cannon - These are the Nova Open 2019 rescues.
• Terminator Squad - 5 man squad with Storm Bolters and Power Fists, one marine with Assault Cannon - These are two RT Deathwing pewter minis, plus three lead RT 1st generation Terminators, they will be painted as part of the WH40K 2nd Edition painting challenge Season 2.
• Terminator Close Assault Squad -  5 marines with Lightning Claws, one also armed with a Cyclone Missile Launcher.
• Terminator Close Assault Squad -  5 marines with Thunder Hammers and Storm Shields, one marine armed with a Heavy Flamer.

There is the outline so far of what will be a very large force of the mighty Deathwing, I still need to come up with bespoke squad and character names but hopefully those will come to me as I continue to work the project.  I sit down every night to paint my 2nd edition challenge minis but end up building Terminators instead so it definitely has captured my imagination.  Thanks for following along and I'll see you tomorrow a suitable end of the year post...
